Pogantherum crinitum

Range: E. Asia - China, Japan and India.

Habitat: Rocky cliffs and road banks in lowland areas of central and southern Japan[1]. Open places in sandy soils at elevations of 500 - 1700 metres in Nepal[2].

Medicinal: The whole plant is depurative, diuretic and febrifuge[3]. A decoction is used in the treatment of urinary tract infections, fevers due to influenza, jaundice and oedema[3].

Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.
