Sanguisorba tenuifolia
Propagation: Seed - sow spring or autumn in a cold frame. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and grow them on in the cold frame for their first winter. Plant them out into their permanent positions in late spring or early summer, after the last expected frosts.
Division in the spring.
Cultivation: Succeeds in ordinary garden soil[1]. Prefers a good moist soil that does not dry out in the summer, in sun or partial shade[2][3].

Habitat: Wet meadows and wet places along streams in lowland and mountain areas all over Japan[4].
