Mycelis muralis (common name: wall lettuce)
Propagation: Seed - sow spring in situ.
Cultivation: Prefers a shady position.
Range: Europe, including Britain, from Scandanavia south and east to N. Africa, the Caucasus and W. Asia.
Habitat: Walls, rocks etc[1], and sometimes in beech woods, usually on base-rich soils[2].
Edibility: Leaves - raw. They are used in mixed salads[1][3][4][5].
Pollinators: Bees, flies, self
Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.
Drainage: Prefers well drained soil.
Flower Type: Hermaphrodite
