Limonium ornatum
Propagation: Seed - sow spring in a greenhouse. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and grow them on in the greenhouse for at least their first winter. Plant them out into their permanent positions in late spring or early summer, after the last expected frosts.
Division in spring. Very difficult[1].
Cultivation: Requires a well drained soil and a sunny position[1].
Plants are not very hardy outdoors in Britain and are unlikely to succeed outside the very mildest areas of the country.
Range: Europe - Mediterranean to Morocco.
Edibility: Leaves - raw[2][3].
Pollinators: Bees
Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.
Drainage: Prefers well drained soil.
