Cultivation: We have very little information on this species and do not know if it will succeed outdoors in Britain, though judging by its native range it should be hardy at least in the milder areas of the country.
Range: E. Asia - India.
Habitat: Stony slopes and cultivated areas, 700 - 3000 metres from Kashmir to central Nepal and China.
Edibility: Young shoots - cooked. Used as a vegetable[1][2].
Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.
Flower Type: Hermaphrodite
