Range: E. Europe to E. Asia. An introduced casual in Britain.
Habitat: Waste places and dry sandy slopes from near sea level to 1000 metres in western China[1].
Edibility: Young leaves - raw or cooked[1]. A hot cress-like flavour.
Medicinal: The plant is used as an antiscorbutic[2][1].
Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.
