Kickxia elatine (common name: fluellen)
Propagation: Seed - sow spring or autumn in situ[1].
Cultivation: Requires a light to medium soil and a sunny position.
Range: Europe, including Britain, south and east to the Mediterranean and Macaronesia.
Habitat: Arable land, usually cornfields in light soils[2].
Medicinal: The plant is haemostatic[3]. It is used externally to staunch wounds and bleeding[4].
