Range: E. Asia - Himalayas.
Habitat: Scrub and savannah slopes at altitudes of 1700 - 2700 metres[1]. Dry hillsides and rocks[2].
Edibility: One report says that the plant is edible[1], but gives no details as to which part of the plant is eaten[K].
Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.
Seed Ripens: Late Summer-Mid Fall
