Range: E. Asia - Himalayas.
Habitat: Stony slopes in semi-desert and semi-steppe belts, rarely in steppes. Often a weed in oases, river gravel and sand[1].
Medicinal: Used in the treatment of boils, ulcers and the bites of snakes and mad dogs[2].
Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.
Drainage: Prefers well drained soil.
Flower Type: Hermaphrodite
Known Hazards: The seeds are toxic[1].
