Geranium ocellatum
Propagation: Seed - sow spring in situ.
Cultivation: Succeeds in any moderately fertile retentive soil in a sunny position[1]. Tolerates a wide range of soil types[1].
Members of this genus are rarely if ever troubled by browsing deer or rabbits[2].
Range: N. Africa to E. Asia - China to the Himalayas.
Habitat: Found in the temperate and sub-tropical zones of the Himalayas at an elevation of 300 - 1,800 metres. Moist shady places at elevations of 900 - 2400 metres in Nepal[3].
Medicinal: The plant is astringent and diuretic[4]. The juice of the plant is used to treat amoebic dysentery[3].

Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.
