Cynanchum acutum
Propagation: Seed - sow spring in the greenhouse. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and grow them on in the greenhouse for at least their first winter. Plant them out into their permanent positions in late spring or early summer, after the last expected frosts.
Division in spring.
Cultivation: Easily grown in ordinary garden soil[1].
A climbing plant, supporting itself by twining over other plants[2].
A very polymorphic species[3].
Range: S. Europe to W. Asia.
Habitat: Seacoasts, sandy and solonetz slopes in steppe, river banks and mountain slopes[3].
Usage: The leaves and stems contain rubber[3].

Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.
Flower Type: Hermaphrodite
Known Hazards: There are some reports of toxins in this genus.
