Cyclospermum leptophyllum (common name: slender celery)

Range: Southern North America to South America.

Habitat: Ditches and low areas, disturbed sites, in Texas[1]. Basalt areas in Eastern Australia[2]. A weed of cultivation and waste places[3].

Edibility: The leaves are used as a parsley substitute, though they occasionally have an acrid flavour[4]. Caution is advised, see notes above on toxicity[K].

Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.

Flower Type: Hermaphrodite

Known Hazards: There are reports that the plant is toxic to mammals[1].
