There is some confusion over the correct name for this species, C. filicinum (H.Wolff.)Hara. is listed as the correct name for C. univittatum. Auct non Turcz[2]. In addition, the name for this species is spelt C. univattum in some reports[2].

Range: E. Asia - China and Japan.

Habitat: Alpine regions of central and northern Japan[2].

Medicinal: Analgesic, anthelmintic and astringent[3][1]. It stimulates the circulation[1].

Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.

Flower Type: Hermaphrodite
