Medicinal: The stem and leaves are used in Tibetan medicine where they are considered to have a sweet taste and a neutral potency[1]. They are anti-inflammatory, diuretic and febrifuge[1]. They are used in the treatment of inflammation of the ureters, pain in the joints due to arthritis, gout and retention of bodily fluids[1].

Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.
