Agathis robusta (common name: queensland kauri)

Propagation: Seed

Cultivation: This species tolerates temperatures down to about -7°c in Australian gardens[1], though this cannot be translated directly to British gardens due to our cooler summers that often do not fully ripen new growth and our longer colder and wetter winters.

Range: Australia - Queensland.

Habitat: Rainforests[1].

Usage: The plant yields a fibre or canes[2].

Yields a resin - used for making varnish etc[2].

Wood - strong, durable. Used for flooring, cabinet making etc[2].

Soil: Can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils.

Flower Type: Hermaphrodite
